What to read on Compulsive Hoarding
In spite of the prevalence and seriousness of the illness, there are only at most a dozen books on the subject in print on compulsive hoarding. They are are not to be found at local bookstores or even at large urban or academic ones. They have to be special ordered or bought on-line.
Until recently most authors have written about compulsive hoarding as something that is part of OCD. Interestingly there are over 150 books listed on Amazon on a search for 'OCD' but only 11 shown for compulsive hoarding! So if you are looking for materials, it is worth checking the indexes of OCD books for references to hoarding.
