Our hoarded house clearance specialists were booked to clear a hoarders house, we had been in the property a week prior on our customers behalf with the task of finding a will, premium bonds and family jewellery. Within two days of searching we managed to find everything our customer required as well as putting a lot of antique items to one side for the family to divide at a later stage.
We were asked if we would go back to the house a week later to clear it from top to bottom to which we agreed. The property was a six bedroomed Victorian home in its own private grounds in a well to do area.
The poor gentleman had been living alone and had hoarded pets but sadly passed away.
The property contained approximately forty pet cages and associated paraphernalia. The gentleman had been living in the kitchen only and slept on a chair. As you can see from the photographs the kitchen was extremelly hoarded and a fire risk due to it being filled with paper.
As well as the house there was also several out building filled with items to be cleared.
We deployed five of our hoarded house clearance specialists who removed approximately fourteen tonnes of waste from the house. It took our team four days to clear the house and two days to clear all the out buildings.
After our hoarded house clearance staff were finished our client was able to put the property up for sale.
