Hi all,
I’m in Consett and looking to sell some gold and silver items for cash. I’ve got a snapped gold chain, a silver goblet, and a small box of mixed old coins from clearing my late uncle’s house. The first place I tried didn’t really explain how they priced things.
Can anyone recommend a fair and reliable buyer nearby?
I’m over in Leadgate and sold a few items at Northern Bullion, including a 9ct gold ring, a silver pocket watch, and a small silver picture frame. Everything was tested and weighed in front of me so the cash offer made sense.
I’d avoid auctions if you can, they’re slow and the fees really cut into what you get. I sold a silver cigarette case, a gold tie pin, and a decorative candleholder recently and it was far quicker dealing directly once everything was tested.
I’m in Shotley Bridge and cleared my gran’s sideboard earlier this year. Found silver cutlery, a silver medal, a small trinket box, and a gold signet ring. Northern Bullion’s online calculator gave a helpful estimate before I went in.
Watching items being tested properly makes a big difference. I sold a silver pen, a gold cufflink pair, and an engraved desk seal recently and having the process explained clearly made it much easier to trust the price.
I’ve sold a really mixed collection over the last few months including 9ct gold rings, 18ct bracelets, 925 silver chains, bullion coins, antique silver items, engagement rings, silver cutlery, pocket watches, cigarette cases, silver pens, picture frames, candleholders, snuff boxes, small mirrors, and decorative trinket boxes. Northern Bullion explained how each item was tested and weighed, which made the whole experience feel straightforward and fair.
