I’m in Hartlepool and looking to sell a few gold and silver items for cash. I’ve got a damaged gold wedding ring, a silver photo frame, and a couple of old commemorative coins from my grandad’s things. Local jewellers didn’t seem interested unless it was dirt cheap.
Any decent buyers people would recommend?
I’m just down the coast and recently sold some items at Northern Bullion, including a 9ct gold signet ring, a silver pocket watch chain, and a small silver trinket box. Everything was weighed and tested clearly which helped a lot.
I’d avoid auctions altogether, they take ages and the fees add up fast. I sold a silver cigarette case, an engraved letter opener, and a broken gold bracelet privately and it worked out much better once I knew the scrap value.
