I’m in Sunderland and looking to sell some gold and silver jewellery for cash. I’ve got a broken 9ct gold chain, a couple of silver coins, and a diamond ring that was inherited from a relative. I visited a few local buyers but the offers seemed quite low.
Can anyone recommend a reliable place to sell gold and silver nearby?
I’m in Roker and had the same problem with scrap gold and broken jewellery. I ended up going to Northern Bullion and found them far more transparent than local shops, with everything tested and weighed in front of me so I knew exactly what cash I’d get.
I’d avoid auctions if you can — they take ages and the fees are expensive. I sold some old gold jewellery and silver coins directly to buyers instead, and it was much quicker once everything had been properly tested and weighed.
