From a question to a clearer picture
Our assessments are designed to help you reflect on patterns in your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Start with something you genuinely want to understand
Many people arrive here with a simple question: “Am I still in love with my ex?”, “Am I a jealous person?”, “Am I a people pleaser?”, or “Am I burned out?”
Those questions can sound simple, but the feelings and behaviours behind them are often more complicated. That is why our assessments are designed to explore different aspects of the question rather than produce a single simplistic label.
The aim is not to tell you who you are. It is to help you notice patterns that may be worth thinking about.
Three simple steps
Choose your question
Start with the assessment that feels most relevant to what you are thinking or feeling right now.
Answer honestly
Respond to a short series of questions about your thoughts, feelings, reactions and behaviour.
Review your report
Your answers are interpreted across the relevant dimensions to provide a more useful picture of your responses.
Why we look at different dimensions
Human emotions and behaviour rarely fit neatly into one percentage.
For example, someone wondering whether they still love an ex may have strong nostalgia but little desire to reconcile. Another person may feel emotionally attached but no longer feel romantic attraction.
Looking at several dimensions can provide a more useful starting point for reflection.
Am I still in love with my ex?
Emotional attachment: High
Nostalgia: Very high
Romantic desire: Moderate
Desire to reconcile: Low
What your result is intended to do
A result is designed to explain possible patterns in your answers in plain language.
It may highlight which areas appear stronger, which appear weaker and how different parts of your responses may fit together.
The report is intended as a prompt for self-reflection, not as a definitive judgement about you.
Thoughtful, simple and easy to use
Short assessments
Most assessments are designed to be completed in a few minutes.
Clear questions
Questions are written to be straightforward and easy to answer.
No judgement
Results are intended to support reflection, not shame or label you.
Related next steps
Where useful, your result may suggest related assessments or reading.
What these assessments are not
The assessments on Compulsive-Hoarding.org are intended for education and self-reflection.
They are not medical or psychological diagnoses, and a result should not be treated as confirmation that you have, or do not have, a particular mental-health condition.
If you are concerned about your mental health, wellbeing or safety, consider speaking with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
