Understand more about who you are
Explore self-image, belonging, authenticity, uncertainty and the questions that can arise when your sense of identity feels less clear than usual.
Identity can involve how you see yourself, how you believe others see you, the roles you play and whether the life you are living feels like your own.
Who we are is rarely completely fixed
People change through relationships, work, family experiences, loss, ageing, new responsibilities and major life transitions. Sometimes those changes feel natural. At other times they can leave you wondering whether you still recognise yourself.
You may know what other people expect from you while feeling less certain about what you actually want. You may feel comfortable in one part of your identity while questioning another.
The assessments in this section are intended to help you reflect on those experiences without assuming there is one correct way to define yourself.
What are you trying to understand about yourself?
Start with the question that feels closest to what you have been thinking about recently.
Am I Being My True Self?
Explore how much your choices reflect your own values compared with expectations, approval and pressure from other people.
Do I Really Know Who I Am?
Reflect on how clearly you understand your values, preferences, needs, strengths and the direction you want your life to take.
Why Do I Feel Like I Don’t Fit In?
Explore belonging, social comparison, feeling different and whether you often adapt yourself to feel accepted.
Am I Living for Other People?
Consider how much family, relationships, work or social expectations influence the choices you make for yourself.
Have I Lost My Sense of Self?
Reflect on whether relationships, responsibilities or life changes have made it harder to recognise your own needs and interests.
Does My Self-Image Match Who I Am?
Explore whether the story you tell yourself about who you are still reflects your present experiences, values and abilities.
Identity has many different layers
Values
What matters to you, what you stand for and whether your everyday choices reflect those priorities.
Belonging
Where you feel accepted, where you feel different and how much belonging influences the way you present yourself.
Authenticity
Whether you feel able to express your real opinions, preferences, needs and personality around other people.
Life roles
The identities connected with family, relationships, work and responsibilities — and what remains when those roles change.
Questioning who you are does not always mean something is wrong
A changing sense of identity can accompany new relationships, becoming a parent, leaving a job, growing older, ending a relationship or simply learning more about yourself.
Sometimes uncertainty is part of adjusting to change rather than evidence that you need to find one permanent definition of yourself.
Identity assessments are tools for reflection
Identity is personal and can involve experiences that cannot be captured fully through an online assessment. These tools are intended to help you think through patterns in your own responses rather than tell you who you are.
Assessment results should not be used to invalidate your experiences or determine an identity for you. Where questions cause significant distress or confusion, speaking with a suitably qualified professional may provide more individual support.
Start with the question that feels difficult to put into words
A useful assessment can sometimes give structure to something you have been thinking about for a long time.
